Magic or magick can be defined as the discovery and connection of the natural elements on the earth with the supernatural powers that guide and empower them.

Though used interchangeably, the term magic and magick holds different meanings to different people.

Few consider magic and magick to be the same, whereas for others, magic connote the stage magic and ritual magic while magick is a force that employs the power of Wicca, wisdom and knowledge to guide them in the accomplishment of one’s heart’s desires.

Here the terms have been used interchangeably.

The Principle of Black Magic and White Magic

Magic makes use of myriads of rituals depending on the belief of the people behind it. There are both black magic and white magic rituals. The black magic is concerned with the accomplishment of the end and is nonchalant to the measures taken to achieve them. For example, in love spells, to force one fall for another, the black magic will manipulate the target’s mind turning his attitude towards love and convincing him of the need to love the other. This has made black magic considered evil by many.

White magic, on the other hand, strives to remove the negativity surrounding one and directs him through the path to destination. They stick to the three-fold law that demands these magical practitioners to perform the magical spells in a manner that does not cause harm to others. That’s why especially Wiccan spell casters staunchly stress the fact that the harm so caused will bounce back at thrice the strength. The Wicca spell casters, for example, stress on the need to hold on to the larger meaning in life and prevent the unsettling of the elements surrounding one for the accomplishment of short-term goals. Not all spiritual paths believe in the concept of the threefold law.

The Practice of Magic

The magical practices are numerous today ranging from the Ancient Egyptian Magic to Voodoo, Santeria, Moon Magic, Obeah, Witchcraft and many more.

Each magical belief upholds its own rituals that are used to communicate with the supreme power.

Through the inclusion of the ingredients like candles, incense sticks, herbs, biological materials, plants and tools etc. the magic practitioners create a positive environment that makes the spell cast a success.

These magical spells work to remove the negativity and channels the energy to offer protection, happiness, wealth and much more depending on the demands that you wish to attain through them.

Magic requires a balance of the personal powers, earthly powers and the heavenly powers to sustain a level that can add to its success. An individual casting the spell or for whom the spell is cast has to hold immense belief in its capacity to generate positive outcome if it is to succeed. Similarly, the various elements present in the earth exude energy that defines the success of the magical spells. Every magical ritual seeks the strength of the heavenly bodies in granting them the wish, with the spell casters working as an intermediary between the supreme power and the person for whom the spell is cast.

The Wisdom and the Strength of Magic

Magic utilizes the strength of the wisdom and knowledge that has been fortified with the passage of time. The secret powers of the rituals have been handed over through the generations by the texts or word of mouth differing with the type of magical belief. The power so gained by the magic practitioners is utilized to bring about changes to the various elements surrounding an incident or an individual. To make the modifications or to coax these elements to move in the desired manner, it demands concentration of mind and skill to visualize them through intense training and experience. Depending on the spell cast and the factors surrounding an individual, the time taken to accomplish one’s heart’s desires vary.

In short, magic is a power that employs power, wisdom and knowledge to change the changeable.
